Environmental Science

One Semester:  Spring Only          Grades:  9-12          Prerequisite:  Biology I with "C" average or better

Enrollment in this course requires enrollments in Microbiology (also 1 semester).  Environmental science is a course designed to serve the needs of students having a desire to further their understanding of the relationships among living things as well as the human impact on the living world.  The course involves developing the scientific investigative skills of observation, accurate recording, and problem solving.  Topics stressed include the Earth's diverse ecosystems, population growth and regulation, community interactions, as well as environmental problems and working toward solutions.
